Garden Room Extension, Penrith

Garden Room Extension, Penrith

Proposal for a single storey dining room accessed from the existing kitchen increasing the size of the room and creating a new connection between the house and the garden.

In form, the structure forms a simple lean to arrangement against the house, reminiscent of Victorian orangeries/ greenhouses. The walls and most of the roof areas are glazed to allow visual connection from the kitchen to the garden and to maximize views into the garden and out across the Lakeland Fells.

The extension is discrete and the visual impact from beyond the garden is minimal by virtue of the topography and screening provided by existing hedgerow.
