Manning Elliott Architects Charity of the Year - 30th January 2023

We are excited to announce that the team at Manning Elliott have collaboratively nominated Cumbria Action for Sustainability (CAfS) as the charity of the year!

CAfS is Cumbria’s climate change and sustainability organisation and their vision is of a zero carbon Cumbria. They facilitate low carbon living by inspiring individuals, communities and organisations across Cumbria to decarbonise by 2037.

They achieve this by managing and delivering events, advice, training, practical projects and providing specialist consultancy services. The practical projects in particular tackle climate change by helping local people to improve their lives, whilst also protecting the environment for the future. Whether it is supporting people to make their homes more efficient by installing draft-proofing kits for vulnerable people, being a trusted source of independent advice for communities, running events to provide people with the skills to make the changes or supporting new community energy installations.

Throughout 2023 we will therefore be organising fundraising initiatives for the whole team at Manning Elliott to join in, such as a 100km bike ride around Cumbria, a hike up Helvellyn, and a 24 mile walk along the Ullswater Way. The donations raised will contribute towards CAfS initiatives to reduce Cumbria’s carbon footprint and promote a more sustainable way of life in Cumbria.
