Eden Mencap Society is working hard to raise funds with the aim of buying Ullswater House, the building they currently occupy. They hope to buy it, revive it and adapt it to provide safe and welcoming facilities for people of all ages with severe physical and learning disabilities.
In recent months Manning Elliott has been getting involved and took this as an opportunity to put our BIM training to the test. Using our Revit software we built a 3D model of the premises and used this to produce a full set of drawings and schedules.
These provide an accurate model of the structure and list details of doors, windows and other components. The charity will be able to use these to identify potential improvements, investigate costs for development and apply for funding.
