Nick Bailey : Director / Partner / Head of Business
Nick is a widely experienced Designer and Technical Director with an extensive history of working in corporate and public sector housing, and other core architectural and planning delivery sectors. Nick is skilled in Land Negotiation and Technical/Brownfield Land Appraisal, Strategic and Core Master Planning, Promoting Sustainability, Commercial Viability Assessments and Multi Sector Design/Project Lead and Management Coordination Roles. Having worked extensively for over 30 years in both client facing, contracting positions, and Key Project Management roles in major refurbishment and sensitive insurance loss funded schemes. Nick understands how the construction industry works, from sitting at both sides of the project table.
Nick has been married to Nicola for 23 years and they have two grown up children. He is an avid motoring enthusiast and likes nothing more than spending time tinkering with his growing classic car collection. He is also happiest when watching old films, indulging in rock/blues music and the arts, watching sport on TV and occasionally going to the pub.
Nick’s feels the most impressive technical projects undertaken in recent years are both mass land reclamation and redevelopment projects, that began with a seemingly impossible objective and delivered and exceeded expectations. This includes the Singapore Waterfront Redevelopment schemes, comprising The Gardens by The Bay, The Flower Domes, The Supertree Groves and the completely wild Marina Bay Sands Hotel. The land reclamation and waterfront projects that have redefined and reinvented the city of Dubai to create the world’s most fantastic playgrounds, including the New World Islands development, The Palm and of course the magnificent Burj Al Arab and Burj Khalifa, show the rest of the world how it is possible to solve any technical problem we might encounter. These key landscaping and design projects are often undertaken by British Architects and Engineers.
