Honister Zip Wire
Leisure Facility
Keswick
The Via Ferrata is an adventure rope, scrabbling course located at Honister Slate Mine in the heart of the western Lake District fells. The facility forms part of the notorious visitor experience centre which regularly features on television.
The proposed zip wire is an ongoing project to provide an exciting return to the visitor centre following successful summiting of the Via Ferrata. This facility recently gained planning permission with conditions following lengthy negotiation with the Lake District Park Authority which has involved the coordination of various consultant input and experts in ecology, acoustics, engineering and climbing safety.
