Social Housing Development
Annan
A large redundant brownfield site in the center of Annan in Dumfries & Galloway was redeveloped on behalf of social housing provider Cunninghame Housing Association to create 27 dwellings. Manning Elliott Architects were the Lead Consultant and oversaw the conversion of a prominent high street building into 5 apartments and designed 15 bespoke two-storey dwellings, 4 modern, new build apartments and 3 limited disabled access properties.
Formerly a derelict commercial premises in the center of a busy town, the redevelopment was met with positivity by local residents and planning officers. Following its completion, the scheme was commended and was a finalist for the Best Housing Regeneration Scheme in the 2020 Scottish Home Awards.
